NJ TRANSIT is interested in receiving Expressions of Interest from experienced, financially sound individuals or entities to propose operation of a Food Court and Bar at NJ TRANSIT’s historic Hoboken Terminal. The premises consist of 3,800 square feet opposite Tracks 2 and 3, comprised of a food court set up with commercial kitchen and separate bar area. Proposers should include attractive improvements and designs that will complement the retail environment at Hoboken Terminal. Additionally, emphasis should be made regarding this concession’s position within Hoboken Terminal’s retail mix which consist of Dunkin’ Donuts, Lackawanna Liquors, Faber News Now, and Hudson Flowers. Cooking is permitted on-site and Proposers suggested use may include a bar-restaurant and/or a food market concept, offering quality cooked food items, fresh produce and beverages, to provide comfort, convenience and value to the traveling public, all the while providing excellent customer service and maximizing NJ TRANSIT revenue.

NJ TRANSIT’s Secaucus Junction is a major transportation hub for NJ TRANSIT commuter rail line and bus operations. The Station allows for direct connections throughout the State of New Jersey, including Trenton Transit Center, Newark Penn Station, Hoboken Terminal, while also providing direct service to and from New York Penn Station. The available space is located within the main rotunda, opposite NJ TRANSIT Customer Service offices, in the main rotunda of Secaucus Junction. The space includes an area of approximately 910 SF. This location is fit out with an Ansul and cooking ventilation system.

The Station is available for lease, which consists of approximately 60 square feet of operating space. Hours must remain consistent with current Station availability which can be found on at www.njtransit.com. Ridership at the Station averages only about 225 passengers per weekday, however this location is just blocks from the beach, boardwalk and along one of the Shore’s major roadways – Route 35. Passenger volume varies due to the seasonal nature of tourism to Point Pleasant Beach.
